13 Nov 2006	ONE DOWN, THREE TO GO Our latest season kicked-off with The Farndale Murder Mystery last week and it went down a storm. Thanks to all involved on and off-stage. Well done to director Mark Weatherall and thanks for the aftershow hospitality. Our second production for the season is Sleuth by Anthony Shaffer from 7th - 10th February.
20 Sept 2006	GOOD LUCK MICHAEL AND BARBARA Michael and Barbara Hodgson are off to California for a year. On behalf of all Marco members we would like to wish them the very best of luck. We know their contributions to this society will be sorely missed.
12 Sept 2006	MARCO SUCCESS AT B.A.T.S. More trophies! The Marco Players scooped the Bolton Evening News Reader's Choice Award for 'The Odd Couple' and the Best Drama category for 'Steel Magnolias'. Other nominations received were: Peter Haslam - Best Actor in a Comedy for 'A Chorus Of Disapproval' Joyce Smith- Best Actress in a Drama for 'Steel Magnolias' 'The Odd Couple' - Best Comedy Congratulations to everyone involved!
3 July 2006	SUCCESS AT THE GMDF AWARDS The Marco Players left with a brace of trophies from the latest Greater Manchester Drama Federation awards evening. Matt Crow won a Certificate Of Promise for his performance as 'Ronnie Winslow' in 'The Winslow Boy' and Jason Crompton was awarded the the Harold Onions Trophy For Best Director for 'The Odd Couple' Other nominations received were: Natalie Crompton - Best Supporting Actress for 'The Winslow Boy' Jason Crompton - Best Supporting Actor for 'The Winslow Boy' Alan Macpherson - Best Director for 'The Winslow Boy' and Best Actor for 'The Odd Couple' Congratulations to all our winners and nominees.
5 June 2006	ANOTHER SEASON OVER Our 25th Season ended on 3 June 2006 with a successful run of A Chorus of Disapproval by Alan Ayckbourn. The play was well received by sell-out audiences. 30 April 2006	CONGRATULATIONS! to Natalie and Jason Crompton, the proud parents of their first baby Adam Francis Crompton. Weighing in at 8lb 11oz, this handsome young fellow was born at 11.15am on 29 April 2006. On behalf of all Marco Players - we wish them the best of luck (and hopefully some sleep!)
